About Standard Motors
Standard Motor Co Ltd was established
in 1995. The company now has its main factory in Shao
Guan City in Guangdong Province on the mainland, with
over HK$100 million in initial investment for an operation
enabling the company to handle steadily increasing demand.
The factory covers an area of 400,000 square feet and
the work force varies between 2,700 to 3,500 in full production.
The premises are fully air-conditioned and equipped with
advanced machinery mainly imported from Switzerland, Japan
and Taiwan, in total-worth standing at around HK$35 million.
Bringing into full play the quality management system
MIL-STD-105D, total production capacity reached a level
of 120 million motors per annum (1999-2000), and in 2001
production capacity lifted to 180-200 million.
The R&D department employs highly-experienced and
well trained engineers, and is fitted with the kind of
precision test equipment the products demand to achieve
greatest reliability. The R&D department not only
develops high quality products but continuously works
to enhance the production equipment itself and tackles
research into related technologies. The combined result
is that all products are manufactured under tight production
guidelines dictated by strict quality control.
